Experiments for public policy – A beginners guide

On Wednesday August 5th 2015 the Behavioural Business Lab (BBL) together with the Victorian Behavioural Insights Network, hosted an event at RMIT: “Experiments for public policy – A beginners guide”. The session began with myself giving a 30 minute lecture about what experiments are all about, and how they could be leveraged by those in public policy. A video of the presentation can be found here.P1050366

Following my lecture was a panel discussion with the other BBL members: Dr. Janneke Blijlevens, Dr. Swee Hoon Chuah, Prof. Robert Hoffmann, Dr. Jo Laban Peryman, and Dr. Ananta Neelim. The group took questions from the attendees who had braved the poor weather. After the session, RMIT hosted attendees with drinks and tasty food where hopefully some ideas kindled and projects were born.

I want to thank Mike Pottenger for arranging the event and moderating on the day. I also want to think Prof. Tim Fry for supporting the event. Invaluable  behind the scenes help was provided by Claudia Jorquera, Mirra Seigerman, and Guillaume Galanos.
